The Recording King RD-227 is a solid wood dreadnought acoustic guitar,
it features authentic 1930s style appointments, it's a great-sounding solid-wood guitar perfect for players who want with high-end aesthetics.
The front is solid sitka spruce with fully scalloped forward cross bracing, it has a beautiful abalone rosette and abalone top purfling, a vintage-style faux tortoise beveled pick guard and vintage style slot through ebony bridge with faux ivory end pins with abalone dots.
The back and back and sides are solid Indian rosewood, the body is bound top and bottom with grained plastic binding.
The neck is solid one-piece mahogany with an ebony fret board also bound in grained plastic, it has abalone snowflake position markers. The finger board has the wider 1-3/4" nut which make it makes it ideal for flat picking, bluegrass and singer-songwriters.
The headstock overlay is rosewood with a torch design abalone/M.O.P. inlay and grained plastic binding.
